Introduction

.      Welcome to the website for the Concerned Artists and Members of the National Arts Club. The National Arts Club has a great storied past, but in the early 1990s, the club’s democratic history was marred by conflicts within the club membership over governance, conflict with neighborhood organizations, and investigations of financial improprieties by the NY State

District Attorney and NYC Attorney General. 

In 2011, the Club is again under investigation by the NY State District Attorney and NYC Attorney General. This website was created from 2001-2003 by Club members to provide the historical facts of the conflicts and other information about the Club (Club bylaws, constitution, etc.) so that other Club members will have the information they need to understand the problems and resolve them.
